Heavy, solid brass construction, this buckle features an integrated end hook rather than a pivoting tongue. Accompanied by the other belt furniture this creates a classic mid 1800's appearance with contours and geometry that hearkens back to the age of horse and steam. Surely, it was a useful component as riding tack, but today it would also be a great centerpiece to a Western belt.
